How to Make a Budget Wedding Feel Expensive
We aren’t all blessed with an almighty budget that can get us the wedding of our dreams. Budget weddings are often looked down upon as cheap and nasty and not as classy as their more expensive counterparts. However the budget wedding does not need to look and feel cheap. There are many ways that you can impress your guests without spending a small fortune.
Keep your table decorations to a minimum
Elegance and class often means minimalistic design, which is perfect for the budget wedding. Choose simple white table cloths and decorate your table yourself. A great DIY centrepiece is a small glass vase with an assortment of twigs, decorated with beautiful white fairy lights. Affordable and easy to make, you can glam up your tables without handing over hundreds of dollars. Sprinkling some rose petals across the centre of the tables can sometimes be more than enough decoration and adds that perfect level of romance and class expected in a high cost wedding.
Dazzle with your entrance
Many guests won’t remember what cutlery you chose to use or how big the floral arrangement on their table was, but they will remember a stunning entrance. Decorate the entrance to your ceremony or reception area with a beautiful and large floral arrangement, or light it up with floating candles or lanterns. The grander your entrance the more it will stick in your guests minds. This will detract from a lack of decorations throughout the rest of the room and will provide a sense of opulence as they step through to your celebrations.
Use lights as a decorative piece
Lighting has become quite inexpensive to get your hands on these days. Purchasing or hiring a lighting system to colour a wall behind the wedding party table or to light up the entranceway can make a huge impact. Your budget won’t suffer and you will again be able to provide a stunning centrepiece that impresses your guests.
Ditch the flowers
When the word wedding is uttered in a florist, the prices can sky rocket. Change it up and use candles on your tables instead. For the bride’s bouquet why not carry a single flower or even a beautiful fern leaf. A green bouquet created from the leaves of local plants can be just as beautiful as an expensive florist designed piece.
